Within a large construction project, we’ve tackled a new building for a timber treatment plant. The facility has a roof measuring 46m x 40m and is 5m high. All building gutters lead to one side, right where we’ve placed the tanks. We positioned two large rainwater filters between these tanks. This strategic location protects them from damage and keeps them service-ready. We’ve calibrated filtration to 130micron for the timber treatment plant transfer, using a semi-automatic filter with a differential pressure indicator.

What we did

Delving further into our provision, we’ve also introduced a new borehole and supportive infrastructure to enhance the rainwater harvesting system. Moreover, we’ve implemented a mains backup, diligently compliant with water regulations. We ensured smooth collaboration with both the groundwork contractor and the building erection contractor to deliver a turnkey solution. The borehole wellhead was intentionally elevated to deter contaminations.

Extra Components

For storage, we’ve employed 6 x 30,000L black plastic Enduramaxx tanks, culminating in a combined total water storage of 180,000L before channelling into the timber treatment plant. Additionally, features like external frost-proof level indicators, submersible pumps for space efficiency, and an automated transfer system make the operations seamless. Every detail, from the automated alarm system to the intricately planned pipework, has been crafted for optimal functionality and long-term reliability.
